Blood draw appointment preparation

Two appointment types, two short checklists. Follow the one that matches your visit so it is quick, comfortable, and successful.

Specialty kit appointment preparation

Follow these steps for Natera, Vibrant America, Vital Tears, and other specialty kits.

1Have your kit ready
Ensure your specialty kit contains all required contents. Do not open tubes before your phlebotomist arrives.
2Freeze ice packs (if required)
If your kit includes an ice pack, freeze it completely 8–12 hours before your appointment.
3Missing or damaged kit contents
Contact your doctor or ordering lab immediately. The phlebotomist cannot proceed without complete kit contents.
4Hydrate well
Drink plenty of water before your appointment to ensure a smooth draw.
5Have your ID ready
A valid government-issued photo ID is required at the time of service.
6Payment
All payments are due at the time of booking.

Lab blood draw appointment preparation

A doctor's requisition is required for every standard lab blood draw. Follow these steps.

1Doctor's requisition required
A valid lab order or requisition from your provider must be on file before the appointment. We cannot collect without it.
2Confirm the destination lab
Let us know which lab your provider uses (Labcorp, Quest, or another) so the specimen is routed and delivered correctly.
3Follow fasting instructions
If your order requires fasting, avoid food for the time your provider specified. Water is encouraged unless told otherwise.
4Hydrate well
Drink plenty of water before your appointment to make the draw quick and comfortable.
5Have your ID ready
A valid government-issued photo ID is required at the time of service.
6Payment
All payments are due at the time of booking.
